3.Once you click on the button, all available grade scales are visible. Depending on your class, the grade scale that the class uses is highlighted. In the columns next to the grade scale name, you can see if you can copy or edit the grade scale.
1.To change the default grade scale, click on the tab, Grade Setup.
2.Underneath the tab, select the button Grade Scales.

Edit Grade Scale
Underneath in the window pane, you’ll see the actual scale. If the window pane is not open, click on the arrow next to the grade scale name.
1. With the class grade scale highlighted/bolded, click on the + plus button below.
2. Once you click on the + plus button, another grade scale will appear on the list. Down below on the window pane, details of the grade scale appears. The original grade scale was grayed out, however, the new Copy of Default grade scale is in black indicating that the scale can be edited.
In the window pane, rename the new grade scale you created.
3. To edit the grade scale, click on the item you want to change.
Cutoff - Cutoff is the lowest percent a student receives in order to the get the corresponding letter grade.
Percent - If letter grades are used in place of points, the percent column is the value that a letter grade is issued. For instance, if you input the letter B in the scoresheet, it has the value of 83. This can be different from the Cutoff.
Description - This is the description of the letter grade.
Ignore - The ignore column allows you to remove/disregard some of the letter grades. In the example to the right, the letter grades, I, NM, and P are ignored. If you need to use any of these letter grades, you can uncheck the Ignore box next to the corresponding grade.

4. Once you are done making changes to the grade scale, click on the button SAVE on the lower right corner. You can create multiple grade scales depending on your assessment needs. If you have a few students that require a different scale, create another grade scale.
To apply custom Grade Scales:
(*Please note, if you are planning to change the grade scale for the entire class from the Default to a custom, do Entire Class first then individual or group grade scale changes.)
